Austenitic heat-resistant Type 310 stainless steel exhibits good oxidation resistance under gently cyclic circumstances up to 2000 °F. Compared to typical austenitic alloys like Type 304, it has a higher percentage of room temperature strength retention, greater resistance to oxidation, and comparable corrosion resistance because to its high chromium and nickel concentrations.
